Leadership
Aurora Swain
Aurora leads daily operations and supports Families First staff, children, and families. She is a longtime advocate for Hispanic families in Cabarrus County and was named National Parent Educator of the Year in 2017. She has also served on North Carolina’s B-3 Interagency Council.
Aurora holds a Bachelor of Science in Systems and Industrial Engineering with a minor in Marketing from ITESM, Monterrey Tech, in Monterrey, Mexico.
Spencer Swain
Spencer provides organizational leadership with a strong commitment to the well-being of children and families. His work is grounded in counseling, early childhood education, community partnership, and family support.
He holds a Master of Divinity with a concentration in Counseling from Erskine Theological Seminary and a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration with a minor in Entrepreneurship from the University of South Carolina. He also holds additional credentials in Early Childhood Education.
Administrative Support
Brittany Richardson
Brittany supports the daily administrative needs of Families First and helps staff, families, and programs stay connected and organized.
Immersion Preschool Team
Our preschool educators create safe, welcoming, and bilingual learning environments where children can learn, play, and prepare for kindergarten.
St. James and Central Campuses
ParentChild+ Team
Our Early Learning Specialists partner with families through home visits, books, educational materials, and play-based learning experiences.
